Unfortunately I dont know :(
Wonton soup great, simple and delicious. Noodles with beef and vegetables, tasty, crispy/soft noodles with perfect cooked broccoli. The beef is soft but very different from regular beef 🤔, but very tasty!
Very tasty Chinese food. Best so far. Nice sized portions. Service could be improved.
Crispy noodle with Chinese brocoli and beef was the best dish we ate there. The salt and pepper squids was not crispy enough. The sweet and sour pork crust was not that great and the sauce taste too much the ginger. The veggy we took was great.
I've going here for 30+ years. Everything is delicious. My favorite though is the Salt & Pepper squid.
We order 3 items he be brought one I watt 15 minute than brought others Food food was not bad is okay
Best won ton soup in town. So many delicious plates to pick from. Best to go with a group to order many plates and try out many different dishes. There is often a wait to be seated but it is worth the wait.
nice place with great food and service
Fast service.
Used to be one of my favourite restaurants, but I have a baby now and came for lunch and had to leave. Not people friendly at all. They didn’t allow us to have a stroller although there was plenty space and empty tables, and then made us feel like our baby wasn’t welcome to the restaurant although he was sleeping!. Sorry guys, you lost a family, loyal customers that came to eat at least once a week.
Great restaurant. Great food. Very good prices. Perfect for lunch, dinner or birthday parties, small reception, etc.
I have been here for years and it never disapoints.I highly recommend their wonton soup, général tao. Duck and chow mein. The service is quick but seems rude if you are not used to chinese restaurant.
The very best place in Montreal to enjoy the chinese meal!
Great food. Love it.
I’ve been going to Kam Shing for 20 years. Delicious every time.
Atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but the food is spectacularly good!
Super tasty and cheap chiniese food. One of my top "go to" chiniese restaurants
good food and great soupe only staff are slow and the place needs un upgrade
I love all the menu. Delicious at reasonable price
Everything is great here. I've never ordered anything I didn't like. Staff could be friendlier but I'll give a star pass on that due to the amazing food and portion size. Great value for the money. For the management, don't change a thing I love this place.
We attend the gathering pre plan party.. Food was delicious.. everything is perfectly manage by restaurants.. Only bad thing I found is glass is dirty and it wasn't polished.. and it looks dirty.. waiters are good but not the best.. they could treat more nicely..
Chow mein cantonese style 👌 never disappointed! I don’t know if it’s the same owner as the other one, but we never order from the other one. My friend said it’s not the same. I trust him.We always have been ordering from this one and it’s always on point. Anything we ordered has been always super good.
Great food, super friendly and efficient waiters, great prices. This place is very popular. The kids love it and the waiters always remember their names. We have been going for years. Go early or make a reservation. There is often a line-up. Definitely try the shrimp wonton soup, the salt and pepper squid and General Tao chicken. Also, the Cantonese fried noodles are great. Scratch that. All the dishes are great. Really. You can't miss.
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants
I am repulsed. I ordered takeout for the first time yesterday and I just wish there was a 0 star option. The general tao did not taste like chicken, the sauce was liquid and runny, the whole thing tasted funny and we couldn’t keep our bites down. I asked for pad sew noodles with beef and broccoli and the same thing... the meat just isn’t right, biting through the beef felt like eating animal fat. We threw away the whole meal after a couple bites. To make things more sour, I paid 35$ for these 2 plates.... I walked in there with 25$ and change thinking it will cover everything. Never again, I don’t know how restaurants like these can stay open.
Unclean and poor services. Foods weren't good at all. What do you expect from a Chinese restaurant?
One of the worst restaurant, ever since their management has changed they're portion size are incredibly small while the price remains the same. We ordered orange beef and there was more onion than the beef itself. Moreover, usually soup are included for dinner in most Chinese restaurant, but this restaurant will charge you 12$!! I want to say something good about them but there isn't any, the taste of the food was very awful. If you don't see any Chinese people eating there you're in the wrong place. So if you're suggesting to go there then you're taking a huge risk.
The food is A1, and salt and pepper calamari... divine. A must go.
Love love love this place!!!! Extremely friendly staff. The dumplings in peanut butter are simply devine.....mouth watering. The salt and pepper pork chops are also very tasty. Actually, everything that my partner and I have ever ordered here, is scrumptious. Never a disappointing dish. Place is very popular and there may be times that you will have to wait for an available table. The wait is well worth it though.....trust me!!!!
The service was quick; no pretensions. The food is succulent; a must in the Montreal culinary palette.
Tried fried chicken noodles with black beans - it's yummy and the chicken is nice and soft, noodles soft and crispy bothAlso tried human chicken with vegetables which is also awesumSpring roll a bit oily but tastySpicy sauce kept in bottle is also yummyAnd the herbal tea is very soothingFood is excellent but the servers sound rude and arrogant
Kam Shing is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years....even before they moved to this much larger location. The food is great....the portions large and the price is excellent for the quality. My husband and I prefer to pick up rather than eat there. We both find it more relaxing to do that as the restaurant is always busy with people either waiting in line for a seat or waiting for their pick up order. It can get a little distracting due to the number of people going in and out of the place as well as the noise level as they also cater to a large family like clientele....so we pick up instead.Thank goodness that it is quite a drive for us to get there or we would be there all the time. It's totally worth the drive though...
The food was excellent! However, our waiter was kind of rude and did not give a good service at all. First of all, he did not even say hi when he came to our table. Second of all, he did not serve the water, but only left the pitcher on the table so we could do the job for him. He also did not take the time to put the plates in front of each one of us. Third of all, the waiter told us not to come back because he was upset that we did not feel like giving a tip. We were very disappointed because our New Year dinner was ruined by our waiter’s attitude.
Finally they are opened again I've missed you in my life. My family and I say thank you for this evening supper. Love the BBQ duck if you ever stop by the one on cote-des-neiges I really recommend you try it. Scouts honor you won't regret it. From the wonton soup to the pork fried rice, I got nothing bad to say. I'm allergic to seafood so they really allow me to experience their cusine without any worries. Love love love... They don't miss a beat.
Thus place has good service and awesome food. The salt and pepper shrimp was amazing, the black bean beef was super good, and the Winton soup was great.
This place never fails to serve you up delicious dishes and generous portions. Salt and pepper squid is always has a crunch and never elastic-ey, chow mein is flavourful and saucy, duck is crispy, chicken & cashew nuts is well-balanced. Excellent spot.
Ít 's OK, I had order crispy noodle but the noodle is soft. It isn't the one I wanted. The fish is the same thing
After more than 12 years, still the amazing same recipe, thank you for that. Still comes ready in a few minutes, awww, really wish I was sponsored by Kam Shing :P(large) beef chow ming please! ;)
Still a CDN classic. Love their food. Still lotd to try. If you go as a group (rsvp) they can fix a group rate and will accomdate if required. We had so much food for the price we paid and tasted so great. The staff were super cool with us.....that amount would cost nearly double at most restos fyi. Highly recommended. Still my main mtl oriental resto. If you want cultural food, you gotta go to the roots and (Uptown) Cote des Neiges is very culturally rooted with ethnic diversity. Oriental, South Asian, Caribbean restos, groceries and people the best in the city hands down
The food was good and the portions were big for the price, however the service wasn't the best.
Best of the best. ( for me anyway )
The waiter was very rude and unclean. He was cleaning his nose in front of the house with his bear hand. The dish Crispy Duck was not crispy at all. We are regular clients but today was very disappointed , I will think twice before I go there next time.
Good food and a wide selection of dishes. Only complaint is when they remodeled and teamed with Uber, the prices increased. Still a great place non the less. I highly recommend it if you enjoy (Americanized) Chinese food..
I am a long time customer of Kam Shing. My history dates back to when, Bill, the cook and Kong the waiter left Fung Shing to open on Cote Des Neiges. Kong is no longer while Bill's sons are at the cash. Bill would selectively cook on quiet nights(which is nearly never) but on a recent visit I learned that Bill is back in the kitchen full time. Perhaps that is why the three dishes that I ordered, 3 kinds of meat chow mein, general Tao Tofu and fish filets with snow peas were very good.Aside I often gripe that the food is expensive being $47 with tax for the three dishes mentionned above but after feeding my wife and myself not once but twice with the contents of the take out, I realized that the portions are generous and I am humbled into a new sense that this restaurant offers good food for the money. The restaurant remains on my list of Chinese good eat locations after 30 years.
Amazing, big plates, great taste, great service, totally recommended
Used to be good. Now everything tastes like water. Gross.
Worst customer service. The food was cold, took too long to serve. We asked why it was cold and they told us they couldn’t do nothing and told us to never come back. The manager wasn’t even doing anything, didn’t wanna serve us another one. Plates and glasses are dirty, chopsticks are dirty. Worse place ever. The food sits there on the counter and they don’t serve it until later when it’s cold
One of my favorite spots to grab something to eat. very good location, well kept, and fantastic customer service. I highly recommend them!
Best Chinese restaurant. loved the veggie spring rolls, fried rice with chicken and beef with Chinese broccoli. Their general tao chicken is not always as good. Unbeatable prices. I go there once a month
Food and services are good
One of the best Chinese spots in the area! It's pretty popular and the food has a good turnover rate. Also, if you're looking for a place that can accommodate big groups, you'll never have to worry here.
